Effective date: 19 October 2026
This policy covers every message you send through Pramaan: SMS, MMS, WhatsApp, RCS, voice calls, email and social posts. It adds to the Acceptable Use Policy.
1. Numbers
- Pramaan provides phone numbers in the US and Canada through a telephony provider. Each workspace gets its own sub-account.
- A number is a monthly rental. It renews from your credit until you release it. If your credit cannot pay, the number goes past due. We email you when the renewal fails and again 2 days before release, and release it after 7 days. A released number is usually gone for good.
- US texting from a standard 10-digit number needs a registered brand and campaign. The registration fees are charged once, when the filing is confirmed. Until the campaign is approved, sends to US numbers are refused.
- You must not use a number for a purpose other than the one in its registration.
2. Consent
- Text or call someone only if they gave you consent that the law accepts for that kind of message. Marketing usually needs prior express written consent.
- Keep a record of each consent: who, when, how, and what they agreed to. Show it to us or to a carrier when asked.
- Consent cannot be bought, rented or shared between businesses.
3. Content
Each message must:
- say who it is from;
- match the purpose the person agreed to;
- for a marketing series, tell people how to opt out (for example "Reply STOP to opt out").
Do not send:
- anything illegal or deceptive;
- phishing;
- hate speech;
- adult content;
- content about cannabis, firearms, gambling or debt relief, unless the carrier and the law allow it and it is registered for that purpose;
- loan or get-rich offers that carriers ban;
- shortened links from public shorteners (carriers block these).
4. Opt-outs
- Replies such as STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, END, QUIT, CANCEL, REVOKE, OPTOUT or UNSUB opt the person out of your messages at once. START or UNSTOP opts them back in.
- Every email we send for you carries a one-click unsubscribe. It also lets the person stop all messages from all apps built on Pramaan.
- Sends to opted-out people are refused automatically. Do not try to get around this, for example by using a different number or a different workspace.
- Login codes (one-time passcodes) the person asked for still go through after STOP. Everything else is blocked. Use login codes only for real sign-in or verification, never for marketing.
5. Timing and volume
- Respect quiet hours where the law sets them. In the US, do not send between 9 pm and 8 am local time without consent to do so.
- Each workspace has a daily send cap. We may lower it, or pause sending, if complaints or carrier signals show abuse.
6. Email
- Follow anti-spam law (for example CAN-SPAM, and CASL in Canada).
- Use a truthful sender name and subject line.
- Do not send from addresses on domains you do not control.
7. Enforcement
We may:
- refuse sends;
- pause a number or a whole channel (the kill switch);
- release a number;
- suspend the workspace.
We may do this without notice when a carrier or regulator requires it, or when people are being harmed. Carrier fines caused by your messages are passed on to you.
